On Saturday, November 25th, Jesse Rea Stowe, age 72, of Ocklawaha, Florida, passed away while surrounded by family, after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Clinton, Indiana on April 6th, 1951 to the late Paul and Doris Stowe. Jesse was the second of their five sons.
He graduated in 1969 from Marion- Adams Highschool, located in Sheridan, Indiana. While in school, he excelled in wood and metal working, as well as Chemistry. He eventually became a member of the Indianapolis UA Local 440 Plumbers, Steamfitters, & HVACR Service Technicians, which was the same union his father had joined previously. In his free time, Jesse could be found tinkering on vehicles, electronics, and computers. He was a collector of many things. In 1999, He retired to Ocklawaha, Florida, where he remained for the rest of his life. Ocklawaha had been the same place his parents retired to in their lifetime.
Jesse was a devoted brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, and will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as two brothers, Thomas A. Stowe and Michael Stowe. He is survived by his brothers- James Stowe and Paul D. Stowe. His children also survive him: Cristina (Erik) Huprich of Leighton, Alabama, Adrienne (Michael) Pickett of Arcadia, Indiana, Thomas R. (Sheana) Stowe of Gales Ferry, Connecticut, Heather (Jacob) Johnson of Kokomo, Indiana, and Cassidy (Paytane) Martindale of Anthony, Florida. His grandchildren and great-grandchild include: Sarah (Kayla) Bennett, Nicholas Carter, Cora Stowe, Shawn Stowe-Vines, Tobin Johnson, Avery Stowe, Olliver Johnson, Jessie Stowe, Rozzlyn Martindale, Imogen Johnson, Emily Stowe, Wyatt-Rhett Martindale, and Noah Bennett.
