Helen Ida Brown, aged 74, of Vincennes, passed away on December 2, 2023, at the Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville, Florida, with her family at her bedside leaving behind a legacy filled with cherished memories. Born in Camden, New Jersey on December 14, 1948, to the late Herbert and Helen Senisch Sampson. Helen worked in the US Post Office in New Jersey, however spent most of her career as a computer engineer for Digital Inc. in New Jersey before moving to Vincennes, Indiana with her husband, Max Brown who retired and wanted to be close to his home town. After moving to Vincennes, she worked for family at Regal Construction in Vincennes before retiring. She spent many days cooking and entertaining the many family members, friends and neighbors with her special ribs, wings and cole slaw. Helen was a bingo enthusiast and an avid NASCAR fan. Helen is survived by her husband Max Brown, Vincennes, IN, her children, Tammi McCleery (Hank) of
Cape Coral, FL, Christopher Morse of Flowery Branch, GA, step children Sherry Brown Peno (TX), Alan Brown (IL), Mark Brown (IL) and Tress Brown-Suits (TN) , 7 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren & several step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Anne Harrison (Rick), Jacksonville, FL, Stella Middleton (Bob), Florida, Carol McNally, Florida, Michelle Dunn (Dave), New Jersey and Mary Wood (Scott), New Jersey. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Terry Brown (Valerie), Vincennes, IN, sisters-in-law Janice Campbell (Randy), Vincennes, IN and Linda Parr (Luke), Greenup, IL and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two step-sons, Robert Brown and Jack Brown.
