Dad, thank you for being my father and my children’s grandfather. My only regret is you did not get to know Nathan and Sarah more. To see the wonderful adults they are becoming. I have said many times that as your children grow, you instill in them the values instilled and taught to you by your parents.  There is a point in this journey that you realize you have become the parent that raised you. It is a sobering moment, one I think about often. I am at peace knowing you are in heaven with God our father. It was hard for me to see you with Alzheimer’s, that wasn’t you. You were a man of faith, a provider, a listener, a teacher, someone I could look up to, someone that understood and most importantly a father and a dad. I know you are home, fishing, tinkering, and watching over us.  

I love you Dad!

Thoughts and prayers for the family of Jack. The last time I got see Jack was in March of 2009 when he visited us in Louisiana. He was my 1st cousin and while we did not get to see each other often but whenever we did, it was always good seeing each other and catching up on family. Will miss you Cuz.
