Thomas Salvatore Ingardia passed away with dignity and strength on February 5, 2024, a week shy of his 87th birthday, with loving family members by his side. An adored father, grandfather, brother, husband, partner, and loyal friend to many, Tom, nicknamed “Sonny”, shared his bright smile and warm spirit with all that knew him. Family was everything to him, and he is survived by his twin daughters, Terri Quilty and Traci Evling, sons-in-law, Keith Quilty and Jens Evling, his grandchildren Zachary, Annali, and Dylan, his sister Carol DeClementi, and his loving companion Diane Dulman. They were together for the past seventeen years and she remained with him until the end.
Born on February 12, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York, Tom was the eldest son of Thomas and Anne Ingardia and brother to Richard Ingardia and Carol DeClementi. Tom was married in Rochester New York to Sheila (Kauffman) Ingardia for 43 happy years before she passed.
A respected aeronautical engineer, project manager and defense contract negotiator, Tom retired early from his successful 33-year career at Lockheed Martin. Tom previously served in the Army National Guard. In retirement, Tom enjoyed traveling, socializing with friends, spending time with his expanding family and was an avid golfer, achieving a once in a lifetime hole-in-one. While in retirement, Tom continued to contribute to his community by serving on the Ventura Country Club Board of Directors. Tom always led by integrity and example and was fondly referred to as the “Main Man” and the “Common Denominator” of the family.
A passionate and expressive romantic, Tom’s love of music and talent for playing his keyboard has enriched the lives of his family and friends. Through his recordings, we will continue to enjoy listening to Tom’s music with pride and gratitude for inspiring musical talent in his grandchildren.
Tom lived life to the fullest and brought laughter and joy to everyone around him. Inspirational in both words and actions, Tom always commanded the admiration, love, and respect of anyone in his presence. As the ultimate planner, Tom always provided for his family to the fullest, selflessly giving them the best life ever, filled with security, richness, and unconditional love.
His presence will be missed dearly, and we will proudly devote our lives to honoring Tom’s legacy.
Crevasse's Simple Cremation is honored to serve the Ingardia family.
