KIMBERLY MICHAEL ANDERSON
(The Man, The Myth, The Legend)
11/26/1951 – 03/01/2024 AGE 72
Born on Thanksgiving day, Kim was the fourth child born to Marilyn and William Anderson in Gary, Indiana. He had three older siblings: two sisters Billie and Bobbie and an older brother Gregory, he was the baby and the favorite, “Of course.” Kim grew up in Crown Point, Indiana and had spent his childhood enjoying competitive swimming and football. At age 14, his family relocated to Anaheim CA, where he completed school at Santiago High.
Kim married his first love Sandra and had three beautiful daughters. Kimberly, Candice and Carli. Providing for his family was always Kim’s top priority so he started a career in long haul truck driving. He was awarded driver of the year in 1990 with Global Van lines a high honor in a large field of competition. He would continue in this profession for 46 years and became a legend in his field of expertise.
He took a pause in his career to help with the family truck stops in Colorado and California. During these years he welcomed his 4th daughter Marilyn with his partner Patricia. He later, married Vickie and welcomed his 5th daughter Kerrianne in 1987.
Kim was the life of any party and was able to get along with anyone. While he spent most of his days on the road working hard to provide for all, he still managed to make time for his family which included family trips, cruises and long dinners. Kim was a comedian who missed his calling for sure, but could liven up any room with his jokes and presence. His daughters were always his first priority and they knew that the one person they could always count on was dad, no matter what. He was also an avid football fan. We are happy to report that he was able to watch his final Superbowl game from his hospital bed next to his youngest daughter, son in law and sister where his team did in fact win.
Kim is Proceeded in death by his parents William and Marilyn, his brother Gregory and his partner Patricia.
Kim is survived by his 5 daughters; Kimberly (Dan), Candice (Claude), Carli (Tim), Marilyn, and Kerrianne (Erin). 7 grandchildren with number 8 just weeks away, as well as 5 great grandchildren and his sisters Bobbie and Billie.
Kim’s contagious laugh, compassion and love he gave freely and unrestricted will be greatly missed by all.

You will be missed and will always live on in our hearts.
Kim was truly a man filled with hilarious come backs. He could have written a book full of them. Being his wife, I got to hear them all! Some things you avoided asking. Our all time favorite, How are you feeling? Kim “With my fingers”🤦♀️ You knew it was coming!
Kim was there for the welcoming of our daughters Kimberly, Candice, and Carli. AKA The Dink, Arab Terrorist, and Tweety Bird.
I will always remember your crazy sense of humor Kim! I wish you peace and harmony with all those you loved and lost.
Love you always, Sandy
Kim had a super original sense of humor. Being married to him, I heard every one liner he thought up. Sometimes I would avoid questions that would lead to the always predictable response! We have all heard, How are you feeling Kim? And the response, “With my fingers”🤦♀️
We should all get together and publish a book of his so many one liners!
Kim was there for the births of our three beautiful daughters. Kimberly, Candice, and Carli❤️ AKA The Dink, Arab Terrorist, and Tweety Bird. I’m sure there are so many more nicknames he and his father, Bill, had created!
Kim, I wish you peace and love eternity with those that you have loved and lost. I know they are with you now.
I love you always❤️ Sandy
Sincere condolences to all the family. Kim will be sadly missed especially by all his daughters and Bobbie, to whom he was so close and lived with for many years. RIP Kim.
I remember when meeting him on the road for the first time, he was with Patricia at the time and the laughs we had, the jokes he made and the amount of information he had up in his head was just incredible. He was a good hearted person and knew his job inside and out! It was great knowing him and hanging out on multiple occasions! God bless you Kim! ❤️ Christina.
I’m so sorry for Kim’s family and friends for the loss of their much loved Kim. He was definitely a funny man with an incredible smile. It was a sad day when the family moved away from Indiana and we lost the closeness and fun times with our cousins. Swimming and sledding at their house on Hermits Lake. I will never forget all the fun (and sometimes daring) times we had growing up. Love you Kim.
Godspeed
Kim, I was always your “green eyed, freckle face, eagle beak” . We started on the road and all we had was music. You had a knack for picking songs that you dedicated to me.. Kerrianne and I remember when Elvis would sing “your teddy bear” and you would make the bear dance while you were driving. Kerrianne did not have a normal life like most. Kim and I felt she would fine because our blood lines are strong. God Bless you Kim, rest in peace. Love Vickie
