When I think of Stan, I remember his father's wonderful restaurant in St. Petersberg, and my University of Florida classmate, Fred Wade, also a St.Pete resident. The three of us have remained friends since the mid 1950's, Stan enrollngg in the University of Michigan. And I was slightly jealous of the 1957 Chevy covertable Stan's father gave him, and the sporty Plymouth Fred's dad game him, not that I did not appreciate my yellow 1949 Ford convertable! We were all about the same age and we all served in the air force. But Stan is the fighter pilot whose distinguished war record should be read and appreciated. I am going to miss our many phone calls in the later part of our lives. And I will keep Stan and his family in our prayers.
