Lemmie Jean Knight

Lemmie Jean Knight, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at the age of 69, due to heart failure. She left this world surrounded by her loved ones.

Lemmie was born on January 26, 1955, in Macon, Georgia to the late Imogene NeSmith and Lemual Meador. 

She is survived by her devoted husband, Gene Knight Sr.; her sons, Dallas and Doug (Miranda) Ragan; her stepsons, Jeff Knight, Shane Knight, and Gene Knight Jr. (Michelle); and her grandchildren, Blake, Braelyn and Makayla.

Lemmie was a nurturing soul who took care of everyone around her. She enjoyed spending time with loved ones, attending community events, playing games, and was known for her incredible cooking. Her pineapple dump cake and corn casserole were family favorites. 
Cherished for her deep love, contagious laughter, and warmth, her presence brightened the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. 

Predeceased by her parents, her brother Tommy, her sister Marie, and her stepson Duane Knight, Lemmie’s memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Her kindheartedness and joy for life will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
