Thomas Hunt Beck

Thomas Hunt Beck, 74, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Ascension St. Vincent’s Southside Hospital. Tom was born on May 11, 1950 in Jacksonville to Albert E. and Irene H. Beck. He graduated from Wolfson High School in 1968 and received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University.

Tom married the love of his life, Lynn C. Beck, on May 26, 1973. Tom worked for various companies in the retail industry.

He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and loved singing in the choir and playing bells. Tom became involved in Via de Cristo which is a Spanish phrase meaning, Way of Christ. This was a movement to strengthen and renew the faith of Christian people, bringing them to a new awareness of living in God’s grace. Cooking was a passion for him either at home or at church, but perhaps his greatest passion was the Georgia Bulldogs!

Tom is survived by his wife, Lynn; niece, Brittany (Skylar) Speicher, nephews, Scott and Hunter Beck; great nephews, Mason Malone, Dax Speicher, and great niece Hope Malone.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Bruce and Jr. Beck.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, August 17th at 10:00 am at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Memorials can be made in Tom’s honor to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.
