Lanceford “Lanny” Kermit Rowe, 67, of Ocala, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 19, 1957, in Bluefield, West Virginia, Lanny was the beloved son of Grace and Kermit Rowe, who preceded him in death.
Lanny is survived by the love of his life, Roberta; his son Lance Rowe; his daughter Danielle Schoenauer and her husband Tim Schoenauer; his cherished granddaughters Brynn and Hannah and his sister Nikki Chugha and her husband Raj Chugha. He will also be deeply missed by many beloved friends and all who knew him.
Lanny began his career working briefly in the coal mines before attending trade school to study masonry. His adventurous spirit led him to travel the world, where he toured with musicians and managed sound, lighting, and production for numerous acts. In the 1990s, Lanny settled in Ocala, Florida. A talented graphic designer, Lanny dedicated over 20 years of his career to E-ONE, where he left a lasting impact through his creativity and professionalism. He retired in 2019 following a cancer diagnosis. Despite this challenge, Lanny faced it with remarkable strength and resilience, maintaining his sense of humor and bringing laughter to those around him until the very end.
Beyond his work, he was known for his kindness, sharp wit, humor, courage, compassion, and unwavering loyalty—qualities that endeared him to friends and family alike.
A man of many passions, Lanny cherished his family deeply and found joy in life’s simple pleasures—a smooth whisky, a fine cigar and good company. Lanny faced life’s challenges with remarkable courage and grace. His strength during difficult times was an inspiration to those around him. He will be remembered as a strong family leader whose presence left an indelible mark on those who knew him.






I will always have memories of our days in Charleston WV dear to my heart. Your humor and pleasant personality will always be remembered.

I will always remember Lanny for his sweetness and kindness. He always had a smile and something funny to say. We didn’t get to spend a lot of time together but time we did was special. Lanny will be missed by so many and his memory will be cherished.

I am so very sorry for the loss of our precious Lanny. We all loved our " Little brother" so much. I remember him as an infant and through his entire life. Always a kind sweet person.he will be missed. He has left a void here but adds to the heavenly band with his mom and dad who were wonderful people. I pray for comfort for each of you. I worked with Lanny years and so enjoyed his dry sense of humor. He could make you laugh in the worse situations. Our love and prayers go to his family that he was so proud of. We love you Roberta and family and are so sorry for your loss.
