With a heavy heart I say goodbye to such a beautiful amazing woman! Fortunate to be a friend of her beautiful daughter and have felt part of the family for so many years! Marianne’s kindness shined with her smile! She always knew what to say, and that would make you smile. Her attention to those that needed her was always amazing! She was a wife, mother, nurse guardian lightum and helped so many, non stop she would pick up and go help whoever needed her, both personal and professional. She was a woman to admire and feel inspired by! My prayers are with her family and friends! She will be missed immensely.

Marianne and I became friends through the Alachua County Guardian ad Litem program, which has as its mission advocating for abused and neglected children. I met Marianne during our first training session in March of 2003. We were both sworn in as Guardians on June 7, 2003.
In the succeeding years my husband, Rod, and I joined Marianne and Bob at Guardian events, and plays at the Hippodrome. We delighted in festive holiday and birthday parties at the Christy home.
We will cherish our memories of our friendship as we honor the memories of Marianne and Bob.
