Harriet Dobb Haire

Harriet Linville Dodd Haire passed away February 10, 2025 at The Bailey Center
for Caring, Community Hospice in St. Augustine, FL after bravely fighting a long battle with
cancer.
Harriet Lynn was born in Yukon (Jacksonville), FL to Meredith B. “Jack” and Eloise “Ella”
Linville. She was the oldest of the three daughters. Harriet graduated from Robert E. Lee
High School in 1964 and immediately began her career with Blue Cross Blue Shield. Harriet
married and had a daughter, Crystal (Bouknight) Pate who blessed her with a grandson,
Hunter Pate. Harriet later married Keith Dodd in September 1987. Harriet and Keith enjoyed
fishing and RV traveling, especially with the Jacksonville Gator Club, her dad, family, and
friends. They attended almost all Gator home games including the FL-GA games in
Jacksonville, and as many away games as possible. They even traveled to the Sugar Bowl
for a couple of Championship games. Keith fought and lost his battle with cancer in 1996.
Harriet eventually moved from Jacksonville to Colee Cove and met Larry Haire. Larry also
loves fishing and shrimping on the St Johns. Harriet and Larry moved to Satsuma where
they enjoyed retired life and all the boat rides and fishing they could take in.
Harriet is predeceased by her mother and father, two sisters, Charlotte and Jackie, her
husband Keith, and her niece Angel. She is survived by her husband Larry, daughter Crystal (Doug) Pate, grandson Hunter Pate, and many loving relatives.
