Donna Sue Archer (Walton)

March 31, 1943 ~ March 1, 2025

Donna Sue (Walton) Archer,  81, passed away peacefully at her residence in Ocala, FL on March 1, 2025.  She was born on March 31, 1943, in Corning, Ohio,  to Leonard and Margaret (Kranyik) Walton.

Donna was a devoted wife to her beloved husband,  Rodney Edward Archer,  with whom she shared 63 wonderful years of marriage.   They resided in Roseville,  Ohio until 2020, at which time they moved to Ocala, FL.   She was a loving mother to her two daughters Robin (Charles) McDonald and Keela (Shawn) Vaughan. Her family brought her immense joy,  and she cherished every moment spent with them.   She was a proud grandmother to Keeshia McDonald,  Mikaila (Tyler) Spring,  Brandon Branch,  Haley Branch,  Emily (Dylen) Marple,  and Faith Groff.   Her love extended even further to her five great-great-grandchildren, who were a source of endless happiness in her life.

Throughout the years, Donna found joy in many hobbies.   She had a deep love for animals and always enjoyed having pets by her side.   She expressed her creativity through painting, coloring, playing scrabble, puzzles, and cross-stitching---pastimes that brought beauty into her life and the lives of those around her.   Whether vacationing at the ocean or the mountains,  she embraced the serenity of nature and treasured those special moments away with loved ones.

Her faith played an important role in Donna’s life.   She was a former member of New Life Temple and later became a dedicated member of Rhema House of Worship.   Her faith guided her actions and shaped the kindness she shared with everyone she met.

Donna lived by the motto "Live,  Laugh, Love," and she embodied those words every day.   Known for her humor and warmth,  she had an incredible ability to brighten any room with her presence.   She was not only a wonderful wife but also an extraordinary mother,  nanny,  sister,  and friend---someone who made the world a better place simply by being in it.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and two sisters.   Although she will be deeply missed by all who knew her,  the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

May her memory bring comfort to all who loved her.

  9. I only knew Donna for a few years as my neighbor and friend but enjoyed every moment with her. Her wit and humor knew no match. I especially loved riding with her to the Ocala Christian Womens luncheons because she had plenty of stories to make the ride go by quickly. I had the pleasure of hearing her and Rod share how they met and their courtship and theirs was truly a match made in Heaven. She will be missed but leaves behind plenty of wonderful memories.

  10. Rod,  Robin and Keela,

  14. Such a beautiful tribute for Donna! She TRULY was the EMBODYMENT of "live, laugh, love". I am so happy that we met and got to know one another through our mutual love for her neice, Aria. She definitely was one of the most positive, loving, supportive and kindest people I have ever had the privilege to know. I lost count of the times she had me laughing! I appreciated her for many reasons; but will miss her smile, her laugh and her nice, warm hugs most.

  15. God bless you Rod. She was and still is a wonderful woman who loved the Lord. Be praying for you and the family.

  20. Donna, although you and Rod were a pair, you were very much an individual. You always made an impact on the room, brightening it with your infectious attitude, it was pretty much impossible to be around you and not start laughing.

A wonderful lady left us, but you left each of us a small piece of yourself to carry on with.

Thank you for accepting me into your family and letting me call you, no, being my Nanny.

    Your grandson, Toady.
