Bobby Tomlinson , beloved husband and best friend to his wife, Nancy, died following a recent illness, on Monday, March 18, 2025.
We are all so very saddened by his death. Bobby grew up in Jacksonville, Florida , graduating from Andrew Jackson Sr HS. He quickly went into two years of service for the Air National Guard and then two years with the Army. He then attended the University of Florida on a golf scholarship, and eventually became a class A PGA pro in 1968, as well as a master club repairman. If you knew him, or had the pleasure to play golf with him, you know he was one of the best around. He has so many score cards with par rounds well into his 80s, and with an insane 15 holes in one throughout his career.
He had so many friends, all of which he enjoyed playing with and he spoke so highly of them all. The end of his career, he was part of the cart staff at Pablo Creek golf course, where he could stay around the game and get to play a phenomenal course on a regular basis. He enjoyed his job so much and loved the pro and staff at the course along with his co-workers. He was 88 when he passed. He was very grateful for his career and the health he enjoyed for 87 years.
Bobby is survived by his wife Nancy, his children Brad, Carol, John and Steve and pre deceased by his son Scott. Daughters in law, Jessie, Judith and Kat. Grandchildren Zachary, Logan, Coley, Lauren, Parker, Wyatt, Lincoln, and one great granddaughter Layla.
My father was one of the best men I have ever known. His character and honesty were unmatched. He wasn’t afraid of a thing, including death. We will miss him dearly.

Bobby was the best, so was Nancy. He was our golf pro in Fergus Falls, MN in the late 60’s to early 70’s. Folks still around from then still remember him well and all thought so highly of him. He lived a great life.
