Teresa "Teri" Rincon

March 28, 2025

Teri lived an unconventional life, enjoying living on the west coast for most of her adult life. Teri was born in Bogota Colombia in 1960 and migrated to the US with her mother and 2 siblings to join their father in El Monte, California. In the early 70s the family moved to Orlando, Florida.

Teri graduated from Maynard Evans High School in 1978 and worked briefly with AT&T before setting out on a journey that many would not consider "ideal". She experienced homelessness for many years due to mental struggles. As a strong believer, she spread the word of God and brought many people to know of His love and power through her street Ministry. She was selfless and giving, often helping others in her same situation despite having very little herself.

Teri returned to Florida in late 2024 after being diagnosed with terminal cancer and spent the remaining time she had being pampered and showered with love by family and friends. She often said she felt like a princess with all the attention she was receiving. Despite the toll the illness was taking on her body she continued to believe she was going to be get better. She remained resilient and strong in her faith in the face of adversity. Teri departed this world in Hospice care with her sister Marta by her side.

She is survived by her Mother, Ana Rincon of Belleview, Fl, her sister Marta Sumpter, brother Ignacio "Nacho" Rincon, Orlando, FL, sister Anaiz, and other beloved family members. She is predeceased by her Father, Jorge Rincon, Sr. and her brother, Jorge "Rique" Rincon, Jr.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Teri's honor to First Baptist Church of the Villages c/o the Children's Ministry Good News Club to continue her ministry to reach out to future generations about the power of the Holy Spirit.
