Audrey Jenkins Hardison

Audrey J. Hardison (affectionately known as Lois, Lee-Lee), 75, passed away with her family by her side on March 21, 2025 in Jacksonville, Florida.

She was born on January 12, 1950 in Coolidge, Georgia. She graduated from Magnolia High School in 1968 and retired from Jeep Toledo in 2004. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and Planning from the University of Toledo in 2007.

Audrey was an exceptionally skilled gardener, chef, and fishing enthusiast. She frequently rescued struggling plants from her local home and garden store, restoring them to good health, and giving them a happy home in her garden. She also provided her friends and family with plenty of fresh vegetables and would often deliver bags of homegrown produce to their doors. She was also known to bring by flowers and fresh caught fish. In addition to her deliveries, she welcomed friends and family to her home to share her home cooked specialties. She loved her community and she supported it with her gifts.

Audrey's faith was an important part of her life. She was a steadfast Christian and a devoted member of the First Church of God in Toledo, Ohio. She found strength and purpose in her spiritual community at FCOG and continued participating with her Wednesday night Bible study group while living in Florida.

She is survived by her sisters Vivian Yearby (Johnny) of Albany, Georgia, Betty Williams of Coolidge, Georgia, Mavis Walker of Coolidge, Georgia, her brother Austin Jenkins of Toledo, Ohio, her daughter Avys Harmon of Jacksonville, Florida, son-in-law Matthew Harmon, and granddaughter Julia Harmon.

She is preceded in death by her parents Mable and Austin Jenkins, her sister Patricia Williams, and her brother Archie Wayne Jenkins.
