A Gentle Soul
In Loving Memory of Edward LaHay
A gentle soul has taken flight,
Beyond the veil, into the light.
Though silent now his earthly voice,
In heaven’s peace, we still rejoice.
He lived with kindness, calm, and grace,
Left traces time cannot erase.
A steady heart, a faithful friend,
Whose love will echo without end.
Though parting brings a heavy sorrow,
His strength will guide each new tomorrow.
And as you walk through days ahead,
Know love remains, though he has fled.
So hold each memory, pure and bright,
And let it fill your darkest night.
For Edward’s light is not gone—
It simply rises with each dawn.
You were such a big part of mine in my family's life for so many years. I'm gonna miss my calls With you, I'm glad my last call with an. I love you.
For the Family of Edward LaHay
From Taketa White, Friend & Caregiver
In gentle hands, he found his rest,
A soul so kind, a heart so blessed.
Through every smile and quiet grace,
He left his light in every place.
Though words may falter, tears may fall,
Love’s memory still stands tall.
For in your hearts, he will remain—
A whisper soft through joy and pain.
I walked beside him for a while,
And saw in him a steady smile.
Now heaven holds what earth held dear,
And I send love to hold you near.
We will miss you Ed.
We had a lot in common but we didn get to share. Thanks for joining the American Legion and our condolences to your family and friends. Looking forward to seeing you in heaven.
Ed was a good friend to many. He’d buy you a drink, share stories with you or just listen, give you a ride or a hard time, your choice. He is missed.
I will miss my cousin Ed who always had my back.
In February he called and sang Happy Birthday to me.
Little did I know that would be the last time I would
speak to him. Rest in Peace cuz.
