Pat and family: I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Don. He was truly a good husband, father, neighbor, and friend. We shared many laughs together and had fun times with our families. May he rest in peace and may God bless you.
What a wonderful man, to have lived and served his entire life for the good of all of us. I worked with Don when Veterans Park was just a concept. He kept it going long after I burned out.
Pat, This is a virtual hug from Seattle since I cannot get back for the memorial.
I'm so sorry about Mr. Don. As I signed the guestbook a little smile came on my face remembering our conversations in the living room back in Md :). He was a great man, respected by all and loved dearly by his family and friends….most importantly he was a child of God and he is with our savior Jesus Christ. We celebrate Mr Don's life. Thank you Mr Don for your service to our country. Many 🙏 s for Chris, Pat and the entire family.
Psalms 23 ❤️🙏
I will miss you deeply Dad, but you will always be with me. I picture you in heaven with Norman, Marilyn and Harry reminiscing about the old days growing up in Massachusetts. You can see your best buddy, Clark, my Godfather, and that makes me smile. It touches my heart to imagine you reunited with your niece, Carolyn, who you adored. I see you and Mike (Pop Pop Klohr) laughing about all the times you shared with our family and watching Ethan and Daniel grow. Your mom and dad will be so happy to see you after all these years and will be overjoyed with the life you lived and all your accomplishments. You will get to see Nana and Grampy Rose, who are sure to be dancing. Thanks Dad for your endless love and support throughout my entire life. I truly couldn't have asked for a better Father; I am so grateful to have so many beautiful memories with you and will cherish them forever. Thanks for being the best Pop Pop to Ethan and Daniel and such a wonderful father-in-law to Bryant. I will miss our talks, but even though we can't talk in person, I will still be talking to you in heaven. I know you will be looking down and smiling from heaven. I love you Dad – you have a place in my heart forever.
Growing up I spent a lot of time with the Sherry Family. Some of my best childhood memories were times spent with Chris at her house or mine. At Chris’ wedding I shared a dance with Mr. Don where he told me that all the years on High View Dr he either had TWO daughters or ZERO daughters! It made me smile thinking how true that was. I wish I could’ve seen you one more time Mr. Don!💔 My love goes out to you all Miss Pat, Doug, Dave and Chris. Lean on each other. Thank you Sherry’s for being an integral part of my growing up years. I cherish the memories.
Rest in Peace, Dad. Many thanks to you & Mom for instilling in us a strong work ethic and teaching us to be honest, kind responsible and respectful people. All the help, guidance, advice & support you've provided over the years will be missed. I hope there's plenty of Miller beer & cigars in Heaven and that you are having a great time catching up with all your family & friends up there.
Don, So much of you in my mind: 62 years of memories, a long time, I'd have loved a few more, but God has plans for you! We were blessed, oh, so very blessed….
You are greatly missed by so so many people…I even miss the smell of your cigar.
I know you loved the two funeral services – the Mass was beautiful and Bushnell, well, that is the way to go.
Rest in peace, Donald Robert, you will always be in our hearts.
Don, it goes without saying that you were like a second father to me. You welcomed me with open arms into your family over 30 years ago when Chris and I first started dating. It probably didn’t hurt that I was in the Air Force at the time and was going to night school to finish my degree – two things we definitely shared in common. You were a great man and I always enjoyed our “talks in the den”. I will remember them fondly for the rest of my life. I will never forget your and Pat’s generosity to my boys. Your imparting wisdom of your “Travelers Tricks” will never be forgotten and I will keep that spirit alive as a reminder of you. I will consider it my duty to you, to watch over Pat and Christine and make sure that they are taken care of and safe. Grab a Miller Lite and share one with my Dad, and say hello for me. I know you two will have a lot of catching up to do. Till we meet again, forever peace. Your son-in-law, and Air Force brother. Bryant
