Larry Gene Castleberry
May 19, 1958 – July 14, 2025
Larry Gene Castleberry, age 67, of Wetumpka, Alabama, passed away on July 14, 2025. A man of many talents, Larry lived a life filled with hard work, deep love, and quiet wisdom.
Born on May 19, 1958, in Wetumpka, Larry spent his life building and fixing—whether it was as a truck driver, carpenter, machinist, or mechanic. He could do just about anything, and he often did. But more than his skills or knowledge, Larry will be remembered most for the roles he held closest to his heart: a devoted son, a proud father, a loving husband, and a true friend.
He is preceded in death by his beloved son, James Gene Castleberry; his parents, Jewell Frances Castleberry and James T. Castleberry; his brothers, Ronnie Castleberry and Fred Castleberry; and his sister, Gayle Castleberry.
Larry is survived and dearly remembered by his spouse, Deena Long, and his children: Angel Castleberry, Matthew Castleberry, Tina Castleberry, Katherine Castleberry, and Laura Lee Castleberry. He is also survived by his loving siblings: Karen Castleberry Ulloa, Frank Castleberry, Glenda Britton, Debra Morris, Denise Turley and James Anthony (Crickett) Castleberry.
Larry’s life was one of quiet strength, loyalty, and endless generosity. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

I remember spending some of the best summers at his house in good ole lincoln Al. You accepted me as your own during the time i spent with you and Laura. and i’m better for it. You fed me practically clothed and took care of me. You showed me a kindness i’ll never forget. It taught me how i want to be for my kids and their friends.
Thank you🫶
