Sharon Lynn Bell

Sharon Lynn Bell, 79, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025, in Ocala, Florida, not long after the passing of her beloved husband, Paul “Buddy” Bell.

Born on July 29, 1946, in Syracuse, New York, Sharon was the daughter of the late Thomas and Celia Jackson. She was raised in Syracuse and graduated from Blodgett High School. Her professional career was spent in banking, where she rose to the position of Vice President at Rome Savings Bank, specializing as a mortgage loan officer.

Sharon spent many years living in Rome, New York, while always holding a special place in her heart for Syracuse, where her closest family ties and lifelong friendships began. In retirement, she enjoyed time in Lexington, Kentucky, before ultimately settling in The Villages, Florida.

Known for her radiant spirit and infectious energy, Sharon had a glow that drew everyone in. She was always present, always supportive, and always ready with a smile. Beneath her warmth was a strong will and determination that inspired those around her. Her greatest joy was time spent with family and friends.

She is survived by her children: James Bell (Laurie) of New York; Cari Bruins (Derik) of North Carolina; and Erin Bell of Colorado. She also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren: Jimmy Bell; Rebecca and Madison Capezzano; and Katherine, Jackson, and Colin Bruins. Sharon is lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews who brought her great joy. She was predeceased by her sister, Ann Marie Barnic, and her brothers, James “Buddy” Jackson and Thomas Jackson.

After a long illness, her passing brings peace from suffering, yet her light continues to shine in the hearts of those who loved her.
