Becky I am so so sorry for your loss! I am praying for you and your family. Love you!
I am very sorry to hear of Richard's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with him, Becky, and the family. From what was shared with me about Richard, Richard was always hard working and a supportive partner.
I only met Richard a couple of times through work activities with Ms. Becky, but he made a lasting impression. He was incredibly kind, very helpful, and absolutely hilarious. What stood out most was how deeply he loved Ms. Becky—he spoke about her with such adoration, joy and pride. I have no doubt he’ll be watching over her from Heaven, continuing to protect and adore her as he always did. My heartfelt condolences to all.
Rik was like a son to us and we loved him dearly. However, we are sure that Becca loved him more and he loved her more. When he drove truck he always stopped for a sandwich just west of San Antonio and let us know to meet him. Only good memories. Love.
He became my son a little over 35 years ago and was also husband to my oldest daughter. He was a very good man and a wonderful addition to my family. He will be remembered with love.
I will miss him dearly. He was a decent, loving and respectful nephew.
He had a heart of gold. Love you now and forever. 🤗🥰
Uncle Rik will be greatly missed! His personality filled a room with laughter and joy! Many prayers and lots of love are sent to Becky and those who loved Rik.
He was my best friend.
Tina and I are so sorry for your loss. I don’t know what else to say, except we are praying for you.
I am sorry for the loss of your best friend. I know it's hard right now and there are no words that can make the grief any less. Only time will dull the grief. Please know that I am here if you need anything.

I was blessed to meet Rik a few years ago and he was such a funny, caring, and genuine guy. Rik and Becky shared something so beautiful–not just as spouses, but as best friends. I hope the memories you both made bring you some comfort during this heartbreaking time. My deepest condolences to the families. Heaven has welcomed another angel and I am certain that Rik will guide you from above and give you the strength to move forward. Thinking of you, my dearest Becky.
Dear Uncle Rik,
I can’t believe you’re gone. I wish I could have more time with you. I’ll always remember the few days we spent metal detecting together, searching for treasure and sharing stories. You started to teach me about fixing things and taking care of my tools, and I’ll never forget how special it was when you gave me my very own toolbox. I promise to keep learning and to take good care of it, just like you showed me. Thank you for being such an amazing uncle
I miss you so much.
Love,
Trystan
Becky – there are no words to help during a time like this. Just remember, you have friends and family that care about you. Don't be afraid to reach out. We're all there for you.
Take care,
T.
Rik was more like a brother than a brother‑in‑law. For 35 years he has been a brother in every sense—steady, funny, and endlessly generous. Since I was 16, he was there with a smile and a word, teaching me how to work on my truck and turning every project into a shared adventure. He treated my sister with a love that spoke to the best of life—patient, devoted, and endlessly kind—and he loved my children as if they were his own. Our days were filled with laughter; he had a joke ready for any moment, and he even gave me a nickname, Wackadoodle, that I’ll carry in my heart forever. I will miss his phone calls and text messages, just to check in on how everything was going, a small act that meant the world. When tragedy touched our family and my husband passed away, Rik drove all night to make sure Becky and he could be with us, offering love and strength—every gesture a reminder that family shows up when it matters most. Rik, your generosity, humor, and unwavering love for my sister left a mark on us all. Rest in Power. You’ll be missed, Rik. 💙🚚❤️
Love your sis (in-law),

There are two distinguishing characteristics of Rick that will forever impress me. The first is his 35-year devotion to my daughter Rebecca. Through hard times and good times he was always there for her.
The second characteristic was his devotion to his "fur" babies. I think it was 20 years ago that he stayed up all night with a cat who had had surgery. He was a comfort to that cat. That is amazing to me!
