Born in: St. Louis, Missouri
Resided in: Ft. White, Florida
Doris Jean Osteen, 82, took her last breath on this earth, October 22, 2025.  She was born September 21, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri.  In 1964 she met the love of her life BJ Osteen, in Orlando, Florida and they married later that year.  They welcomed in their union two daughters, Laura and Donna.  She loved her daughters fiercely and brought them up to be strong women.
Doris, BJ, Laura and Donna were very close.  They were family but also friends, enjoying many family events, cookouts, and parties together.  When her grandsons were born later, she did everything with them.  She taught them to cook, bake, make a budget, have family values, love with your whole heart and be strong young men.  They often took them camping or boating on the river.  There was always an adventure when they were together.
Doris was also an amazing seamstress.  She made Donna’s prom and pageant dresses as well as other clothing items for both girls. She later started making quilts. They were all so beautifully and meticulously sewn with her loving hands.  We will all cherish the quilts she made for each of us.
Doris leaves behind the love of her life, her husband and best friend, BJ, her daughters, Laura Salyer (Mike), Donna Osteen, grandsons, Taylor Price (Amber Chick), Brynn Quintana (Kevin), bonus granddaughter, Jessica Burns and the light of her life, her great-grandson, Wyatt Finley Price.  One cannot forget her loving and loyal grandpups, Kona, Miss Lucy Lou and Layla. She also leaves behind many family members that loved her dearly.
