David Dean Wilson

May 3, 1959 – January 1, 2026

David Dean Wilson, affectionately known as Gator Dave, age 66, passed away peacefully on Thursday January 1, 2026, under the caring hands of Haven Hospice in Gainesville, FL.

David was preceded in death by his father David Wilson in 2015 and his mother Sheila Wilson in 1994 which weighed very heavy on his heart throughout the years.

He is survived by his sons, Joshua Wilson and his wife Jessica of Micanopy, FL, and Derek Wilson and his wife Lindsey of Gainesville, FL along with his beautiful granddaughters Grace, Avery, Charlotte, and Mia. David is also survived by his sisters Alice Jempson and Dona Moss (Chuck) both of Gainesville, FL along with many nieces and nephews.

A private family ceremony will be held at a later date.
