We love you, Buddy
Buddy Ray Lowman, 82, of Jacksonville, Florida, entered his eternal rest on January 12, 2026, after a lifetime dedicated to the service of his Savior, Jesus Christ.Born with a heart for ministry, Buddy pursued his calling with excellence, earning a Doctorate of Ministry from Dallas Theological Seminary. His legacy is defined by 50 years of faithful service as a pastor, during which he touched countless lives with his wisdom, compassion, and unwavering faith.On May 16, 1964, Buddy married the love of his life, Colleen Kay Shook, in Hickory, North Carolina. Together, they shared over 61 years of marriage, building a foundation of love and devotion that served as an inspiration to all who knew them.Buddy’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Colleen Lowman; his son, Christopher Lowman, and daughter-in-law, Amy Lowman, of Warsaw, Indiana; and his cherished grandchildren, Megan Lowman, Matthew Lowman, and Matthew’s wife, Victoria Lowman, all of Indiana. He was a pillar of strength and a source of gentle guidance for his family, who will miss his presence dearly.A celebration of Buddy’s life and ministry will be held at a later date. In honor of his journey and in lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Community Hospice Care Organization, in Jacksonville, FL. who supported Buddy and continue to support Colleen during this time.His life was a testament to the words of the scripture he preached: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
