James Robert Hines Sr., age 44, passed away on January 15, 2026. He was born on January 26, 1981.
James was preceded in death by his father, Phillip Hines; his grandparents, Robert (Bob) and Emogene Perrine Hines, and Hansford and Ethel Alkire Howell; his uncles, Robert Larry Hines of Indiana, Edford Lee Howell of Wisconsin, and James Robert Howell of West Virginia; and his aunt, Markeeta Jane Hines Elliot.
He is survived by his beloved sons, James Robert Hines Vancura and Jacob Michael Hines, both of Florida, who were the pride and joy of his life. He is also survived by his mother, Virginia Hines of West Virginia; his sisters, Chasta Hines and Chuck Via of Weyers Cave, Virginia and Shaunett Baughman (Aaron) of West Virginia.
James is further survived by his aunts, Paula Howell of Florida, Anna Schrader of West Virginia, and Vera Casteel of West Virginia; his uncles, Therial Hines (Joni) and James Granville Hines, both of West Virginia; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish his memory.
James will be remembered for his love for his family and the bond he shared with those closest to him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
