Ramona Morgan, a devoted mother, grandmother, and respected public servant, passed away on December 24, 2025, at the age of 71. Known affectionately as “Goma” by her grandchildren, she leaves behind a legacy of resilience, unconditional love, and a heart that knew no strangers.
Born on July 17, 1954, in Pineville, West Virginia, she began a journey defined by strength. Though her early years were marked by trials, she refused to let them define her character. After graduating high school, she entered civil service, beginning a career that would span 37 years. Through hard work and an unwavering commitment to those she served, she rose to become a highly respected Human Resource Chief.
Upon retirement, she moved to Florida to enjoy the sunshine, though her heart remained wherever her family was. She was a woman of fierce independence who never asked for help but lived to give it. Whether she was acting as a passionate baseball fan, a Barbie play-time companion, or a steadfast supporter of her grandchildren’s dreams, she was the ultimate role model. Her grandchildren will forever cherish the texts announcing her visits—which always signaled the arrival of their favorite junk food—and the “nothing and everything” phone calls that kept the family close.
She is survived by her two sons, David and Matthew; her cherished grandchildren; and a community of friends and former colleagues.
Crevasse’s Simple Cremation is honored to serve the Morgan family.
