Condolences to Mary’s family and friends.
Mary K. Kimberling, age 78, of Port St. Joe, FL, passed away January 27, 2026. Raised in Damascus, Virginia, Mary was a kind and thoughtful soul whose light was felt by everyone who knew her. Her compassion shined brightly through her career as a Registered Nurse, where she cared for others with skill and gentle patience. Always placing others above herself, she had a remarkable gift for connecting with and loving people through random acts of kindness, perfectly chosen cards and gifts, and encouraging words. Mary loved to celebrate others and was a gracious hostess who opened both her home and her heart to neighbors, friends, and family. Her legacy is one of love, warmth, and quiet faithfulness, and she will live on through the countless lives she touched.
Mary was preceded in death by parents Raymond and Virginia Kimberling and sister Diane Kimberling Parker. Those left to cherish her memory are sister Jane Kimberling Ganzman, children David Burton (Suzanne) and Donald Burton (Patti), grandchildren David Burton, Ethan Burton, and Brandon Burton, many special nieces and nephews, bonus daughter Jamie Duggan Gravitte, her nurse friends that were more like sisters, caring neighbors, and many other friends—all of whom held a special place in Mary’s heart. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph Bay Humane Society, 1007 10th St, Port St. Joe, FL 32456.
Crevasse’s Simple Cremation is honored to serve the Kimberling family.
