John Mark Cunningham Jr.

John Mark Cunningham, Jr., 49, of Old Town, Florida passed away February 11, 2026.

John leaves behind his wife of 13 years and 3 stepchildren. He loved the outdoors—fishing, oystering, mud bogging, and his boat. He was a big family man; he loved his family so much. His love was so genuine, and he had such a big heart. He passed of adenocarcinoma lung cancer. He spent his last days at home with his family. Three weeks after hospice was called in, they made him comfortable and pain‑free.

He is survived by his wife, Ciera Cunningham; stepchildren Brooklynn Watson, Alelia Watson, and Colton Watson; his cousin Charlie Bo Sikes; his Ma and Pa, Charlene and Nelson Osteen; his aunt Cynthia Sikes; his sister‑in‑law Lila Cunningham; his sister Kimberly Sherrod; his father, John Cunningham Sr.; and lifelong friends Travis Croft, Mike Cassidy, Robert Cole, Harvey Jordan, Missy Pickern, Buddy Osteen, John Willie, and Brianna Pinner. And thanks to all his hospice nurses—Kya, Missy, Mrs. Deb, Mrs. Merry—and our chapman Brayn and our social worker Mr. M. Y’all all were so good with and to him.
