Kimberley Huff-Stella, born March 11, 1960, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on the morning of March 23, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of strength, love, and quiet resilience.
Born in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, Kimberley built a life defined by determination and compassion. Kimberley was a devoted mother who raised her daughter as a single parent for many years before reuniting and building a life with her childhood love, Philip Stella. They found happiness together for decades in South Florida with their three children, joyful days on their boat, and a home full of beloved pets. After a career as a talented accountant, she and Phil jumped into a new chapter of life together building a home from the ground up in Central Florida.
She will be remembered for her strength, empathy, and touch of rebellion. Kimberley was wise, beautiful, and endlessly hardworking in every facet of her life. She loved Fleetwood Mac and driving sporty cars. Her expressive facial reactions always gave away her truest feelings. She had a passion for gardening, cherished time spent near the water, and was always ready to embrace a new adventure with fearlessness.
A passionate animal advocate, Kim dedicated much of her life to protecting and caring for animals. Her love for creatures extended beyond just her own cherished pet dogs, cats, and fish. She cared for animals in the wild and even lived with a lion cub and drove cross-country with alligators during her time working at an NYC zoo. She was small but mighty from day one and always followed her own path.
Kim is preceded in death by her parents, Marjorie and Joseph Huff. She is survived by her husband, Phil Stella; her sister, Deborah (Steve) Patt; her children, Larissa (Andre) Huff, Philip (Sage) Stella, and Jessica Stella; and her grandchildren, Braden, Philip, Elsie, and a granddaughter on the way.
Kimberley’s life was a testament to love and her presence will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She is deeply missed and will be forever honored.
A private celebration of life will be held for family and close friends in Cape Coral, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to local animal rescues in her honor
