James Phillips, 46, of Gainesville, Florida, left earthly cares behind on April 24, 2026.
James was born in Tallahassee on May 31, 1979 and moved to White Springs when he was 11 years old. He graduated from Hamilton County High School.
James was a devoted father to his son, Orion. He is survived by his son, Orion of Tallahassee and his nephew Damien Phillips. He was preceded in death by his parents, Laura and Kent, his grandparents, Evelyn and JC Phillips, and his brother, Jerry.
James was in leadership at Dish Network and at IQ Fiber in cable and in fiber optic. He loved travel, FSU football, and music.
