Stanley Eugene Prentice
Our beloved father , Stanley E. Prentice, has departed this life, for his next, on June 1, 2026. Stan is survived in life by: two brothers Robin and George; three sons Jarod (Kelley), Matthew (Lauren), and Nicholas; two grandchildren, Mila and Miles; and spouse Jan Harrell Prentice.
We remember Stan (Dad) as being dedicated to family and always willing to lend a helping-hand to family, a friend, or even a stranger in need. Whether it was coaching Little League Baseball, volunteering construction services for World Changers missions or clothing someone else’s grandchildren in preparation for the school year, he would help.
Stan shared his passions with his family and friends. He loved saltwater fishing and boating, stemming from lasting childhood impressions and his time spent in the U.S. Navy. He was NEVER one to be idle, he always wanted to be active doing “something”. Even in his final days, he spent his time personalizing an old circus mallet with painted illustrations representative of his joyful character.
Stan maintained a positive outlook about what happens next in life. He was resolute in his convictions on faith, and now, in this time of sorrow, we trust in our own faith that his spirit carries on in heaven and in all of those who knew him, even if it were only for a moment in time.
We love you and miss you ever more.

I miss you very much already.
We’ll miss you so much dad. I love you and appreciate all the things you’ve passed down to me.
You, me and Rob had some special times together.
Love you and now you can rest in peace, with no pain!
Kay Harrell
Mr. Stan you always treated me like one of the family. I’m eternally grateful for that. You always cared. You were always cheerful, always lifting up spirits in any room you went into. Thank you for everything. Enjoy that hand built wooden boat in the sky. Catch a fish for me.
Uncle Stan: We hadn’t seen each other in a very long time but was so happy that we had a “textversation”. I still remember our family visit to Alabama as if were yesterday. Rest in peace and pain free. Love you, Joelle 🙏🪽❤️
