Carlito Domelateza Velasco, 78, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026, at HCA Florida Memorial Hospital.
Born in Manila, Philippines, Carlito proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy, retiring after 20 years of dedicated service. He had a deep love for playing tennis, tending to his garden, and traveling the world alongside his beloved wife, Luningning. Above all, he cherished the simple joy of sharing a meal with family and friends — a table full of people he loved was where he was most at home.
Carlito is survived by his wife, Luningning, and his sons, Gerald Velasco and Jason Velasco. He will be forever remembered for his faith in God, his unwavering work ethic, and his rare gift for making everyone around him laugh. Ephesians 1:4 “just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.” In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Christ Cares Alliance Church on St. Johns Bluff Rd.
