Cherry spent her lifetime in the Chicagoland area – loving it there. She went to high school in Bensenville and received her associate degree at College of DuPage. She is preceded in death by her son Michael Diomar and son Ronald Diomar and granddaughter Korissa Diomar.

She is survived by her daughters-in-law, Sarah Diomar and Jennifer Diomar Neidballa, grandchildren Rachel, Madison and Joshua Diomar, and sister Julie Ortega Robison as well as nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Charles “Chips” and Glenys Ortega and preceded in death by her brother Charles Ortega, Jr. and sister Jill Ortega Bloode.

She will be interred at Mt. Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst, IL
