Jimmy Clifford Mealor passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026. He lived a life marked by love for family, friends, adventure, good humor, and the outdoors . He expressed a steady devotion to the people and places that mattered most to him. He especially enjoyed time in nature and was equally comfortable fishing on the Atlantic in south Florida or spending time in the woods of north Florida.

Jimmy was born April 28, 1936, in Toccoa, Georgia. He moved to West Palm Beach in the 1950’s. He served the U.S. Army in Korea for two years beginning in 1959. His work as a lineman allowed him to travel all over the United States. He often spoke fondly of his time out west.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Shirley June Mealor; parents, Lewis and Cleo Mealor; brother Pete Mealor, and sister Margaret Mealor Shedd.

Jimmy is survived by sisters Pat Mealor Kessler, Helen Mealor Lewallen, Peggy Mealor Saylors and Jackie Mealor Elrod. He was also beloved by many nieces and nephews in Florida, Georgia and California.

Celebrations of Life are planned for the Fall.
