David Michael Lanzarotta

July 21, 1960 – August 22, 2026

David Michael Lanzarotta passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026, at age 66 after a lengthy battle with multiple sclerosis.

David was born July 21, 1960, to Samuel D. Lanzarotta and Delores Jean (Pyatt) Lanzarotta. David was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. He later moved to New Springfield, Ohio where he graduated from Springfield Local High School. David met his wife Christine Kocurek in Ohio and later moved to Jacksonville, Florida where he raised his family. David loved fishing, boating and being outdoors. He was an avid reader. His favorite author was Stephen King. David was a family man and loved spending time with his children and granddaughter, brother and sisters, as well as their pets!

David is survived by his wife, Christine (Kocurek) Lanzarotta, His son David Samuel (Lindsay), his daughter, Cara Marie (Marcus), and his beloved granddaughter, Elora Jean. He is also survived by his sisters, Shari, and Patti; brother Samuel Keith. His Aunt Linda Lanzarotta, and Uncle Joe (Carol) Lanzarotta.

He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Phil Kocurek, brother-in-law Paul Kocurek, sister-in-law, Charlene McKenzie (Tom), brother-in-law David Kocurek (Nadine) Shannon, brother-in-law, Bill Kocurek (Chuck). As well as his nephews and nieces: Tom McKenzie (Justine), David McKenzie (Amanda) Rion and Isaac, Kristen Schurr (Josh) Levi, Matthew Smith (Amanda) Chiara; and Kayla Jean Smith (Zach).
