Thomas McArthur Howell Sep 6, 1942 – Sep 21, 2026

Thomas McArthur Howell, 84, of The Villages, Florida, passed away September 21, 2026.

He was born September 6, 1942 to the late Virginia and James Roscoe Howell in War, WV. He was a graduate of Big Creek High School and enjoyed attending his class reunions. He graduated from West Virginia University where he met his sweetheart and late wife, Linda French, and went on to be a top salesman and later formed his own company, DELTA Medical Supply Group.

After caring for his beloved Linda until her passing, he did the same for his brother Ralph. He was deeply loyal and prioritized his family above all else. Tom loved The Philadelphia Eagles and West Virginia Mountaineers football. He loved the beach and the Outer Banks. He was an avid golfer and loved travel, music, art, poker, block parties and peach moonshine. He never missed an opportunity to hit an ice cream shop.

With neither of them seeking or expecting it, Tom met Karen Berger and found love again, enjoying his last 5 years, sharing families, friends and many adventures together, including whitewater rafting. Karen was by his side throughout his battle with leukemia, holding his hand when he passed.

Tom valued generosity and never hesitated to share what he was fortunate enough to have with others. To all who knew and loved him he left this world a better place.

He is preceded in death by his brothers Willis, Orville, Roy, Don, Robert and Ralph and a sister Hilda-Marie. He is survived by his brother Richard Howell (Judy), two daughters, Stephanie Williams (David) and Jennifer Howell (Bruce), Grandchildren Felicia (Darnell), Mitchell (Ryan) and Liam, and great grandchildren Davion, Ny’lia, Averyelle, Lola and Nora. He is also survived by nephew Shawn and nieces Kimberly and Ashley as well as his partner Karen Berger.
