Barry Lynn Hetrick, 63, of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Punxsutawney, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, surrounded by his beloved wife Kimberly and son Bailey. He was born on June 19, 1962, in Lynwood, California, to the late Robert L. and Winona M. (London) Hetrick.
After high school, Barry followed in his father’s footsteps and became a tradesman. He joined the Finishers Union Local #2006 and worked as a drywall foreman for 24 years. On June 8, 1991, he married the love of his life, Kimberly (Landolfi), and together they raised two sons, Brilyn and Bailey.
The highlight of Barry’s life was spending time with his family. He especially loved being in the garage with his boys, one of his favorite pastimes. He was happiest at the races, helping with race cars every weekend, and he enjoyed cruising in his ’71 Nova SS. In his younger years, he raced four-wheelers—a passion he proudly passed down to his sons. Barry also loved traveling and cherished yearly vacations to tropical destinations. A hardworking man, he had a gift for fixing and building just about anything.
Barry was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. and Winona M. Hetrick, and his brother, Bobby Hetrick.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly (Landolfi) Hetrick; his son Brilyn and wife Nicole of Punxsutawney, along with their two sons, Lincoln and Axel Hetrick; and his son Bailey Hetrick of Ocala, Florida. He is also survived by his sisters, LeeAnn Hetrick and her daughter Jasmine Range, and Linda (Steve) Stanford. He is further survived by his niece Shayla Hetrick, daughter of his late brother Bobby Hetrick. In addition, he is survived by his in-laws Tony and Connie Landolfi; his brother-in-law David (Tandi) Landolfi and their daughters Kelsey (Lavern) King, with children Rozlynn and Rodee, and Kamie Landolfi and fiancé Tom Crouse; and his brother-in-law Michael (Donna) Landolfi and their children Tanner (Madison) Landolfi and Lexie Landolfi with fiancé Tanner Smith.
Barry will be remembered for his devotion to family, his kind heart, hardworking spirit, and sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
