Bertha Fortune passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025.
She was the daughter of the late Roland and Wessie Aikens. She was the eldest of ten siblings. Bertha was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Fortune; and several siblings.
Her memories and her life will be cherished by her daughters, Kim Hicks and Pam Walker; her grandchildren, Briana, Brandon and Devin; sisters, Dee Collier and Janice Taylor; brothers, Roland (Gail) Akins, Adolphus Akins, Michael Akins, and Felton Aikens; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
