Betty Irene Thorsen, age 57, transitioned peacefully on Friday, January 20, 2023. She was born August 10, 1965, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Jacksonville, Fl, to Judy Thorsen and late Alfredo Thorsen, Sr.
Irene will be remembered by all as a sweet soul, with an infectious smile, that brought light into every room. Though she faced many challenges in life, she remained loving and kind. She loved to laugh, spend time with family, listen to the radio, do needlepoint, and had quite the sweet tooth. She also loved animals, being outside, shopping, and praising the Lord in church on Sundays.
She is survived by her mother Judy Thorsen; brother and sister-in-law, Alfredo Jr. and Becky Thorsen; nieces and nephew-in-laws Harley Thorsen and Cole Edwards, Baylee (Bridgland) Wester and Brad Wester, Chelsea (Bridgland) Griggs and Zach Griggs; nephews Duke Thorsen and Nick Bridgland; niece Stephanie Bridgland; grandnephew Kasen Edwards; and grandniece Blair Edwards.
She is preceded in death by her father Alfredo Thorsen, Sr.; and her grandmother Betty Lohman.
Irene will be deeply missed by all who knew her. However, our family finds peace knowing she is reunited with her daddy, and is dancing in the streets of gold.

Thinking of my cousin Irene will always bring a smile to my face as she could say the darnedest things!
Judy you were a great mom to her … God picked you and thru the years of the good and bad YOU were always there. I know this isn't going to be easy.. she is with God and her daddy in Heaven. I pray everyone will find

Irene was greatly loved…and loved well while on the Farm with Alfie and I and the kids! We always enjoyed our time with her! She will always hold a special place in our hearts and we feel blessed that we were allowed to be with her in last year and 1/2 of life!

Irene was a light in our family for the last year and 1/2. She loved her life on the farm with us and Alfie says it was the happiest time in her life because she had a big family that gave her all their attention and Love! She was included in every family function and I enjoyed taking her places by myself! Stephanie loved doing crafts with Irene and painting her nails..Baylee loved doing crafts and carving pumpkins at Halloween with Irene. Nick loved to tease Irene and sing their special song; "Reenie Beenie!" to her! She was easy to be with and we all loved her very much. She will be Missed!
So sorry for your loss. Irene will be greatly missed. God put her on earth as an angel and now she is an angel in heaven.
