Bobbie Jean Murphy

March 30, 2020

Bobbie J. Murphy passed away unexpectantly March 30, 2020. Bobbie was born November 19,
1946 in Knoxville Tennessee to Leonard and Maxine Dunn. Bobbie always said she was a
rebellious child and even ran off to attend Woodstock as a teenager. Bobbie was a teacher’s aide
for many years and enjoyed taking care of ‘her kids”. Bobbie married her love Danny Murphy in
1991 in Litchfield Illinois. Bobbie and Danny had 20 years together before his passing in 2011.
Bobbie moved from Illinois to Florida after her husband’s passing and she swore she would
never again see snow. Bobbie was a member of the Avon Park Seventh-Day Adventist church
and was Baptized July 31, 2018. Aunt Bobbie moved in with her Niece Tina (James and son
Kaleb) in 2019 and boredom was never achieved as there were many adventures which included
tubing down the Ichetucknee River, visiting Disney World, Universal Studio’s, Busch Gardens,
Sea World and taking the fur-babies to the beach. Aunt Bobbie loved the ocean and would often
sit for hours reading and soaking up the Florida sun. Weekend trips to the Farmer’s Market,
planting a garden and trying new recipes were favorites as Aunt Bobbie was an excellent cook
and had a green thumb. Aunt Bobbie dominated the kitchen and would not hesitate to smack us if
we attempted to do the dishes. Aunt Bobbie loved her four-legged dog Izzie and spoiled her
endlessly. Aunt Bobbie was very much loved by her family and she is dearly missed by all who
knew her. Aunt Bobbie was a no-frills kind of gal and preferred the simple life.
Aunt Bobbie is survived by her Niece Tina (James and Kaleb), fur-baby Izzie, numerous friends
and family

  1. Aunt Bobbie, I loved you so much, and you know that. You know you were my favorite Auntie. The only aunt that ever did anything with us kids. I thank and give the greatest honor to you for picking up the pieces of my shattered life and glueing me back together. You didnt have to do any of the beautiful things for us as you did. You made every occasion more special and magical than we ever dreamed. You were my Auntie, my mother, my sister and my friend all rolled into one. You mean the world to me and made my life so much fun. Im humbled and honored to have an Auntie like you. I feel numb! I cannot believe that you are not here. I even feel lost knowing i cant ever talk to you here. You are so very much loved and missed by me. I will never forget what we said to each other 2 weeks before you passed away. I didnt know at the time that we were saying our goodbyes. We were talking about the coronavirus and told each other that if it took one or the other of us, that we would see each other in heaven. So now that you went first, you be sure to look for me so i know the way. It won't be much longer because jesus is coming back real soon and im so happy that you won the victory over this world. I love you forever and ever and ever…. thank you God so special Aunties! She was the best because she was real! Till we meet again…. fly high
