I worked with Brian at Shands; he was a really cool guy. He was always upbeat and had a positive attitude. Honestly, at first he was kind of annoying with his little quirks, extrovert tendencies, and blunt honesty. But then he grew on you, and you became accustomed to being greeted with , "Desiree’s in the house!" every time you walk in the door. He did that for everyone, and when he was not at work, it seemed so quiet and boring. We miss that greeting and jovial attitude. I miss talking to him about wrestling and music and food and just about anything. He livened up our days in innumerable ways, and there is now an empty place where his personality used to be. Goodbye, my friend. I hope to see you again some day.
Brian could make you smile even when you didn’t want to. He was my "neighbor" here at work. He will be greatly missed! You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
My siblings and I recently reminisced about our childhood and how lucky we were to have you for an uncle. You had the coolest Ninja Turtle action figures and video games, practiced kickball with us, helped us get fitted for bicycle helmets, tooks us bicycling, and you were often right there playing with us when we visited for weeks at a time. I treasure those memories so so dearly now. On top of being a "big kid" with us, you were kind, patient, and talented–traits I’ve been dwelling on since you left for heaven. You will be always be missed, and I don’t think anyone else is going to be able to get the whole family in one photo at our annual family reunion. Deepest condolences to Diana. Meeting you was the happiest I have ever seen my uncle. Thank you for being a bright light in his life. Prayers, hugs, and love to you always.
