Dearest Lindie, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. You smiled brightly when you talked about him even though there was worry behind your eyes. Please take in comfort that you and your mom are surrounded by love to get you through this difficult time.
Charlie Hiers was my hero. He will always be remembered by me and my family.
What a lovely memorial for Charlie. I know this is a hard time for all of you and you will miss him very much. You are in my thoughts and prayers. With much love, Lizzie
The phrase "one of my favorite people" gets overdone, but it is so true of my affection for Charlie that I cannot avoid it. He was a wonderful brother-in-law and friend who provided many humorous, thoughtful and learning experiences in my life. His positive impact on the lives of many will reverberate throughout time as others who were influenced by him pass on some of the positive, loving characteristics from him.
