Charles Peter Taylor Sr

May 16, 2021

Charles Peter Taylor Sr. (Chuck) was 78 years old and resided in Ocala, Florida. He
passed away on Sunday, May 16th 2021 at 7:32 am at the E. W. & Lucille Cates
Hospice House from cancer. He was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey to
Elizabeth Taylor. He never met his father, but had siblings from that side of the
family that reside in Kentucky. Chuck was quite the jokester and didn’t take an
interest in school. He dropped out to serve in the armed forces and joined the
United States Navy. He was proud of his time served.

He is survived by several children: Charles Peter Taylor Jr. of New Jersey, Jacqueline Denski of Terryville,
Connecticut and Sherry Loria of Ocala, Florida. He married the love of his life,
Janice Taylor, in 2017 on June 6th.  It took him 71 years to find true love and he
cherished every moment with her.

He enjoyed watching movies, Nascar and fishing with his grandson Logan McGee of Ocala, Florida. He was a horseshoe
champion and took the 1st place trophy for his league for 2021. He loved to sing
and play his guitar and his favorite music artist was Elvis. On Saturday evenings he
would play Mexican Train Dominoes with his wife Janice Taylor, son-in-law Carlos
Luis Loria Jr., and his daughter Sherry Loria. His dream was to live in Florida and in
November of 2019 he left New Jersey to do just that. He recently became a part
of the American Legion Post 284.

Special thanks to all of his friends and neighbors
at Oak Bend, for making the last year and a half of his life, one of the best.

(Luke 23:42-43) 42 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your
kingdom. ” 43 Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in
paradise.”

  1. Janis, we are so very sorry for your loss. We don’t  actually know either of you, but I remember you both from the last time we had an open HOA meeting before COVID-19, and he ran all around with the microphone. I figured right then, he’s probably a character……a fun one!

  2. FathDER!! (Spelled that way on purpose) I can't believe you are gone. The best lesson that I can give to the world about our relationship is to forgive someone when they ask, just like Christ forgives us and our misdeeds. If I would have held on to the past, I would have missed out on ten fun years with you. I never realized how much we had in common until your last week on earth. I guess I never really thought about it before. We both served in the Navy, we both joke about absolutely everything, we both like to lead and think for ourselves, we both love music and to sing, we both love playing games, and we loved celebrating the holidays. You made get togethers so fun, because you look forward to them like me. One thing we definitely are different about is how we clean house. Dad, I cleaned your bathroom the day after you passed and dear goodness, I had no idea your floors were actually yellow and not beige!!! Hahaha For realz though, when I found out you and Janice were moving here to Ocala, I was so flipping excited. It meant the world to me and I know you had a ball too. Wish we had more time here together. Saturday nights will be different. My car rides after work, where I would hear how your day went and vice versa will definitely be missed. Your spicy attitude and swag can't be duplicated. You were definitely and original. I am hoping you gave your life to Christ in your final breath like we talked about. I am glad I could be there by your side for that last breath. I will always value those last few days with you, even if you weren't responsive for most of it. I love you Dad. Thank you for always taking a joke well. You were one of the few people on earth that can have fun doing just about anything with me. I wish we had another summer together, so we could finally hit Bingo up together and do another breakfast in town. I am thankful I got to spend your last birthday with you. Who would have thought you would have been gone within 30 days. None of us knew, even you, how sick you were. You were a soldier. No one has cancer in every organ and bone but the brain and goes on doing everything without oxygen or pain medicine until the last week. My goodness. You must have really been hurting even more than you let on. I am just glad you didn't have to suffer long. Hope to see you in Heaven. I'll miss you loads until then.

    Your Favorite Daughter

We know you are in Heaven with our Father and some day we will joining you once again.
“ Thank you very much “

  4. Will miss Chuck. Enjoyed our talks and the his wave every time he walked by the house. Rest in Peace.
