Cherri L Story

Cherri Lee Story, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away on January 31, 2024 at 64 years old. Cherri was born the fourth of five children, to Herbert O’Dell Story II and Annie Beth Boone Story on October 16, 1959 in Gainesville, Florida. She graduated from PK Yonge High School and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from St. Petersburg College. She spent many years working in IFAS at the University of Florida, and retired from Nationwide Insurance. Cherri enjoyed creating art, writing stories, reading, and spending time with family. She was a faithful member of the Churches of Christ.

Cherri was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Beth Story. She is survived by her loving siblings: Melody Hogle and husband Bill of Gainesville, Genna Minihan and husband Joe of Knoxville, Herbert “Dell” Story III of Gainesville, and her twin sister Terri Story of Elgin, TX. She is also survived by eight nieces and nephews: Tess Taylor, Kenneth Hogle, Amanda Hogle, Rachel Kight, Tim Powers, Jessica Rigg, Kristie Wilder, and Mikaela Lewis.
