Dale Patrick Hancock

Dale Patrick (Pat) Hancock was born June 28, 1946, in Gainesville, FL Pat passed away peacefully February 6, 2026, at his home in Alachua, FL.

He grew up in Orlando; served in the U.S. Navy from 1963 to 1967 and worked in construction for many years. He moved to Alachua in the 1980’s.

Pat is predeceased by his mother, Louise Harris Hancock Christopher and father, Sydney Hancock, sisters Martha Sue Via and Marjorie Vergine, and brother Bruce Hancock. He is survived by his sister Sylvia Jo Sanders, Alachua and his son Michael Hancock, Orlando.

Pat enjoyed his later years in the country growing vegetables, blueberries and grapes. He was an avid reader with his favorite books by Clive Cussler.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful neighbors and friends for their support. At Pat’s request, no service will be performed.
