Dallas Lauren Shaara, 46, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 24, 2025.
Born to Darryl and Debbie Tower, Dallas grew up with a deep-rooted love for her family, friends, and values that shaped her life and touched everyone around her.
In 2010, Dallas married the love of her life, Joseph William Shaara. They embodied the kind of love and happiness many can only dream about. Together they built a loving, joyful home. As a devoted mother to Lauren Elizabeth and William Joseph, she cherished every moment with her children, fostering their dreams, education, and happiness. Whether enjoying family beach trips, cheering at Gator football games, or sharing everyday moments of love and laughter, Dallas’s family was her greatest source of pride and joy.
Dallas was also a passionate and inspiring leader at GSK, where she thrived for two decades. Her commitment to her career was matched only by the genuine bonds she formed with her colleagues. Widely respected and cherished across GSK and the broader healthcare industry, Dallas’s leadership, warmth, and dedication left an indelible mark on her work family, who admired her as both a professional and a friend.
She is survived by her husband, Joe; her children, Lauren (13) and Will (11); her parents, Darryl and Debbie; her grandmother, Mary; her brother, Dustin; her sister-in-law, Kate; her nephew, Noah; her nieces, Elaine and Analise; her mother-in-law, Sherry; her father-in-law, Richard; her sister-in-law, Brittany; and brother-in-law Bryan. Dallas’s kindness, quick wit, humor, and generous spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Dallas’s life will be held at a later date in Gainesville, Florida. The family invites friends and loved ones to share stories and memories in her honor.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the college fund for Lauren and Will, to further foster their education and growth just as Dallas would have, in her memory.
I love and cherish every memory I was blessed enough to share with Dallas. She brought so much joy and laughter to everyone she knew. Losing Dallas will forever leave a hole in my heart. I feel beyond blessed to have called her friend for so many years.
Praying for Joe and Lauren and Will and her parents. We love you all and will forever keep her memory close 🩷
We know words cannot console you, and probably cannot fathom how devastating a loss like this can be to you and your children. That said, know that we are saddened for your family, and will pray for emotional healing, and peaceful hearts and minds. Though we were not a huge part of your lives, we did enjoy the times spent with you both, and cared for you all. If you ever need anything, please do not hesitate to reach out. Give a huge hug to Lauren and Will for us. Our condolences and prayers go out to you. God bless!

I will never forget how blessed I was to have the privilege of working with you. I will always treasure the laughs we had and great times we shared during our time in GSK. I will always and forever remember your beautiful smile that would light up the room.
Joe, may The Most High above comfort and bless you and your family, always. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I have such fond memories of working with Dallas during our years together at GSK. She was incredibly bright, engaging, and fun, and her dedication to both patients and colleagues was inspiring. Dallas brought energy and kindness into every interaction, and she will be deeply missed.
May the memories you hold close bring you peace and strength in the days ahead. Please know that I am keeping all of Dallas’s family and friends in my thoughts and prayers as you navigate this difficult time.
I was lucky to know Dallas as a teammate, mentor, friend, and later my manager. She was the best leader I’ve ever had. Ever! She was honest, hardworking, smart, kind, funny and so easy to talk to. I loved her very much and I looked up to her. Dallas was a good person, with a great, big heart, beautiful inside and out. And she would beam with love whenever she spoke about Joe, Lauren, Will, her parents, her family and friends. My heart goes out to all of them. The grace and strength she showed in her battle was truly inspiring and I will miss her dearly. May God bless you and keep you, Dallas.
Dallas, you fought so hard. You were so brave and a true inspiration. You were beautiful, kind, intelligent and so humble. Thank you for giving me the opportunity that changed the trajectory of my career for the better. I will forever be grateful. May your beautiful family find some comfort knowing you are no longer suffering. Rest in Peace. We will all meet again one day in Heaven.
