David Bruce Robertson

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, son, brother, and friend, David Bruce Robertson, who died on December 14, 2024, at his home due to complications with his heart. He was 50 years old. Born on December 4, 1974, Dave grew up with a passion for music. His natural talent as a drummer led him to perform professionally with the Buzz Poets, a role in which he took great pride in. Renowned among friends for his signature style, Dave was known for his immaculate hair, his great cologne, and his meticulous attention to appearance—all of which reflected his deep appreciation for life’s small pleasures. Among his greatest joys was the arrival of his daughter, Bailey DeAnn Robertson, whom he adored and loved unconditionally. Their close bond was a testament to the caring, compassionate man he was at heart. 

In addition to his daughter, Dave is survived by his father, Carl Robertson; his mother, Kathy Robertson; his stepmother, Jeannie Robertson; his sister, Diana Robertson; and his brother, Dale Robertson.

Dave will also be deeply missed by his close friends and co-parents, Lisa and Derrick Schmenk, who are grappling with the loss of someone so dear to their family. An avid admirer of the ocean’s beauty, Dave cherished his early mornings at Jacksonville Beach, where he found peace and inspiration watching the sunrise. He had a remarkable ability to share warmth and kindness with those around him, and his gentle presence will be remembered by all who knew him. Dave’s love for music, unwavering devotion to family and friends, and genuine appreciation for life’s simple joys will live on in our hearts forever. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
