David Wiley Pipkins was born September 22, 1934 in Day Town, Florida and passed this life in Ocala, Florida on November 23, 2025. Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 30 years, Betty; daughter, Kim Pipkins Selph; step-sons Tim Jones (Shelly), Steve Jones (Crystal) and Jeff Jones (Lindsey); 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by his mother Hilda Singletary Vasilko; step-father Mike Vasilko; father Emory Cecil Pipkins, Sr.; and brother Emory Cecil Pipkins, Jr.
Becoming a journeyman in the Sheetmetal Local 435 at age 19, he passionately and skillfully worked on many projects throughout the states of Florida and Georgia. He was active in his local union for 70 years. He also will be remembered for many projects that he designed, created and built.
He was a member of College Road Baptist Church, where he will be missed by many friends. Memorial contributions may be made to College Road Baptist Church Building Fund.

We have been friends with David and Betty for about 25 years. David was one of a kind. He was always jovial, humorous, knowledgable and interesting. His word was his bond. He treated everyone fairly. He loved Betty dearly. There was never a time that we would get together with them that he didn’t make us laugh about something. We will miss him dearly. We are praying for Betty and family.
