Dawn Lopresto-Davis

January 6, 2022

Mrs. Dawn Rae Lopresto-Davis, age 66, changed her place of residence from this mortal earth
to an eternal home in heaven on January 6th, 2022 after a long courageous battle with endstage liver disease. Dawn passed away at the Haven Hospice, E.T. York Care Center after spending her last days visited by friends and family, and with her husband Paul by her side.

Dawn was an active member of Westside Baptist Church for 35 years. She taught kindergarten
Sunday School with her mother, Shirley Lopresto, for 26 years. She volunteered at Vacation
Bible School, participated in various committees, and served as church clerk for Westside
Baptist Church and Santa Fe River Baptist Association for many years. She and Paul were
active members in their Life Group, and it was at a church social event where they met.

Before her health declined Dawn was an active member of a Stonecroft women’s weekly bible
study and the Red Hat Society. Her hobbies included traveling with Paul and her service dog,
playing piano, music, reading, and watching Gator sports. She especially loved being with her
family and praying and ministering to others.

Dawn graduated from Saint Leo University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.
She retired from the University of Florida and the State of Florida after 35 years of employment.
Dawn was predeceased by her parents, Lawrence “Bud” and Shirley Lopresto and service dog,
Fifi.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Paul, who affectionately called her Chin-High as
she stood as tall as his chin, and her service dog, Cassiopeia 'Cassi”. She is also survived by
her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Debbie Betourne, and her nieces Laura and Leslie.

Her family wishes to express their gratitude for the wonderful care Dawn received from her
physicians, Dr. Joe Morelli, Shands Liver Clinic and Dr. Joel Rich, North Florida Regional
Hospital, and additionally, the physicians and staff at Shands and E.T. York Haven Hospice.
