Tamera Jean “Dede” Edge Fagan passed away in Gainesville, FL on August 27, 2022 with her loved ones by her side. She was born October 27, 1958 at Alachua General Hospital as a fourth generation Floridian.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 43 years, Osee R. “Rob” Fagan Jr. and children Osee R. “Trey” Fagan III (Lauren), Michael “Pat” Fagan (Amanda), and Alicia Fagan (Cynthia), as well as her brother Hugh F. “Bubba” Edge III (Wylene). She was preceded in death by her brother Michael Edge (2007), her sister Sharon Nazworth (2009), her mother Jean Edge (2011), and her father Hugh F. Edge Jr. (2012).
Dede attended Gainesville High School and graduated in 1976. Her proudest moment was marrying her husband in 1979. Together they enjoyed being on the water and country living, with their most recent home in Brooker, FL.
Dede loved children, especially her grand babies, Kaya Gwynn (17), Osee R. Fagan IV (6), Isla Fagan(5), Boaz Fagan (3), Jaxson Yturriaga (10) and Chelsi Fagan (6 months).
She also loved gardening, puzzles, scrapbooking, thrifting, and playing scrabble with her daughter. Dede worked in her family’s insurance business, did tag and title work, and ran a home daycare for years. Memories of her kindness, generosity, and humor will live on forever and she will be missed deeply, though she and her deceased family members are graciously reunited.
A graveside service will be held at a future date and announced soon. You may also share photos, memories, and condolences on her memorial page via www.crevassesimplecremation.com/obituary/tamera-fagan

I, along with many other high school friends, were so sorry to learn of Dede's passing. We have all commented on how sweet she was – always. And always with a smile for everyone. I remember seeing her on the stage of the GHS auditorium, the night she was introduced as being on the Homecoming Court. She embodied the word friendly – and she was everyone's friend. I will miss seeing her the class reunions, but am grateful to include her in my wonderful memories of high school. Rest In Peace, sweet girl.
Dede was a special friend who we will all cherish our memories from years ago. Fly high DeDe until we meet again. Peace!

GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN RIP MY FRIEND
Dede will be missed! Attended school and also worked with her in their family business- always kind and helpful. Family came first for Dede and she showed her love for them in so many ways.
Fly high Dede/ see you again one day!
Dede was my sister-in-law and Aunt to my 2 boys. Dede was very quiet, but when she did say something it was either hysterically funny, or very smart! Dede was an amazing Aunt to my kids, she loved them and they loved her. She was the “FUN Aunt”, always playing, crafting, reading to them, etc. she was dearly loved and will surely be missed. Love and hugs to Robby, Trey, Pat, Alicia and Bubba!
God bless your family!
I went to school with Dede at GHS and remember her as one of the sweetest, kindest of classmates. My condolences to all who loved her-Leslie Ahrens
