Dorothy V. Murphy Kubis sadly passed away on January 3, 2017 after a courageous battle with her health.
Born on February 8, 1936 in Philadelphia, Pa. “Dot” is survived by her devoted husband and true partner
in life of 62 years, Leon S.
Besides her husband, Dot leaves her 5 children, 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Dot also leaves
her 4 brothers and sisters-in-law as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a beloved Aunt.
Dorothy loved her family and devoted her life to them especially her Dan who she travelled with, in and out
of the country, for his medical care.
Dorothy was dedicated to her love for God and the Church.
Mass will be held for Dorothy at Queen of Peace Church in Ocala, Florida on January 18, 2017 at 8:30 am.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hopsital.

So sad cousin Dot is gone but she is at Peace for sure. A strong lady, she had such an infectious laugh and enjoyed visiting with her family and friends. I enjoyed my visits with Dot, Lee & Dan in their homes in FL. One visit, it was hot (as usual for FL) and I didn’t bring a bathing suit. I got so overheated I simply jumped into their pool with all my clothes on! Dot couldn’t believe what I did and was hysterical laughing with me. We had quite a few laughs! Dot and I were pen pals too for many years. Rest in Peace Dotsy!
